Description

Delphinium elatum 'Blue Bird' is an herbaceous perennial that reaches 6' tall and 2' wide. This plant prefers rich, well-drained soil and full sun. Flowers are mid blue with a white bee; it blooms during the summer but will continue to bloom if dead flowers are removed. It likes regular water and planted in an area protected from wind due to the hollow stems. Stake if necessary. This beautiful flowering plant makes a great cut flower or in an English cottage garden. All parts are poisonous.
