Description

This tree will grow up to 60' tall and has needle-like, blue-green leaves. This very hardy tree usually has a straight tall gray colored trunk, very fissured. It can tolerate urban conditions so it can be used as a specime or planted for a privacy hedge. Brown cones appear on the tree. It can be grown in full to part sun with well draining soil. It needs a moderate amount of watering. A beautiful conifer for an alpine or woodland setting.

This plant is on the City of Ashland’s Prohibited Plant List and should only be planted if it is at least 30 feet away from any structure. Prohibited Flammable Plants List Questions? Contact Firewise staff at 541-482-2770.
